In this episode Simon Drew interviews olympic weightlifter and master Stoic, Jerzy Gregorek.

About the guest: Jerzy Gregorek came to the U.S. from Poland in 1986 with next to nothing as political refugee during the Solidarity Movement. Since that time he and his wife have built one of the worlds most successful personal coaching and athletic training practices in the world, together co-founding the UCLA weightlifting team and the sleeper hit personal development program, The Happy Body. Jerzy is a four-time World Weightlifting Champion with one world record. He earned an MFA degree in Creative Writing from Norwich University in Vermont, is a multi-published author, and his poetry and poem translations have appeared in major poetry magazines including The American Poetry Review. His poem "Family Tree" was the winner of Amelia magazine’s Charles William Duke Long Poem Award in 1998. In 2003 The National Endowment for the Arts awarded Jerzy the Literature Fellowship to support the translation of selected poems. A master and modern Stoic, using simple science and techniques, Jerzy has transformed hundreds of people—from housewives and surgeons to the world's top CEOs, athletes and celebrities—who all came to him with every conceivable body shape and desire.
